  1. How long is posted Profile available on SangamAmerica ?    [Top]     [Back]
    Profiles reside upto 1 year on SangamAmerica.com.  Profiles can be renewed anytime for extension of residence.
    1yr Profile Residence:           US$25 or Indian Rs. 1200
    6 months Profile Residence:  US$15 or Indian Rs. 750
    3 months Profile Residence:  US$10 or Indian Rs. 400
    1month Profile Residence:     US$5 or Indian Rs. 200

  2. What happens after Promotion expires ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Profiles will continue residing on SangamAmerica till its residence expire.  Profiles can be renewed/upgraded at the end of package term.

  3. How do I discontinue/cancel my profile ?     [Top]     [Back]
    There are two ways to discontinue your Profile on SangamAmerica-
    (1) You can discontinue your profile by going through Modify Profile section. Provide your Profile ID, Password and Check Discontinue/Delete box in Modify profile login screen.  Click here to Discontinue/Delete/Cancel your posting
    (2) Write us an email requesting cancellation of profile (using the same email address from your Profile).  Profile ID is required for cancellation of profile.

  4. Can I modify my posting ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Profile Modification is allowed for unlimited time within its residence time. Click here to modify profile.

  5. What is Highline ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Highline is a brief description/Summary of Applicant Profile (250 characters).  Whenever an information is searched/browsed, Highline is displayed first.  Highline can be modified unlimited times and is the most critical information for attracting more responses.  Highline can be considered as a summary of a profile.


  6. What is Browsing ?      [Top]     [Back]
    Browsing is going through lists of Highlines.  Ready made lists are generated for Browsing.  For eg. one can browse list of profiles from USA, list of profiles with age greater than 25 yrs etc.

  7. Can I display my photograph in profile ?  How much extra will it cost ?      [Top]     [Back]
    Yes !! your picture can be displayed.  US$10 Free for displaying your photograph !!  Photo profiles are approx. 10 times more effective.  Photograph or Picture can be emailed(Gif or JPEG) or sent by regular mail.  In case of unavailability of computer format picture, mail us a paper copy. Picture/Photograph cannot be returned back under any circumstances.  1 Photograph/Picture per profile is allowed. Include your ProfileID with Photograph/Picture.  Profiles with Photograph/Picture will be shown in Photo Profiles section and can also be accessed from all other standard sections like Search, Browse etc.

  8. I forgot my password.  How can I change/reset my Password ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Write us an email requesting your need.  You will have to email us your Profile ID and Mothers Maiden Name (using the same email address from your Profile) to receive your password.

  9. What are various ways of finding a profile ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Any profile (standard, deluxe, promotion) can be located/displayed from Browse, Search and QuickSearch Pages.

  11. I dont want to display my Contact phone and Address. Can I display my email address only ? How ?     [Top]     [Back]
    By default a newly created Profile will not display Contact Phone and Address.  Profile owner has also an option to display one or both.  Under Applicant Contact Info in Profile form, you will have to check the box(s) to display your contact phone, address info.  Otherwise Email address will be used as a communication medium.  The Displaying of Contact Phone and Contact Address can be toggled on or off during profile creation/modification.  Contact Phone and Address is required for the accounting purpose though.

  12. What is displayed when my profile is queried ?     [Top]     [Back]
    "Not Selected" items will not be displayed in a profile.  Only Information added by the applicant will be displayed in the profile.  Contact Phone and Address may or may not be displayed depending upon the applicant selection.  Any information in a profile can be modified for unlimited times.  Click here for sample profile.

  13. How can I get more results from Search form ?     [Top]     [Back]
    'Not Selected'  values will not be used as Search fields.  Selecting fewer Search fields will return more profiles while selecting more fields will return specific profiles.

  14. How can I communicate/contact the Applicant ?     [Top]     [Back]
    By contact phone, address or email.

  15. What are Profile Expectations ?     [Top]     [Back]
    It is Profile Owners Expectations from his/her spouse.  It is not mandatory.  It helps the reader to understand profile owners expectations.

  16. Where can I find email address of a profile owner ?     [Top]     [Back]
    It is available under Applicant Contact Info section in a profile.  If applicant has not provided email address, it wont be shown ! Profile owner has to provide any or combination of contact phone, address or email.

  17. I dont access Internet frequently, but I would like to post an advt.  Is there a way to submit advt without going through Internet ?     [Top]     [Back]
    You can download a file and fill it with information.  After filling out the information mail it to SangamAmerica with the payment.  You can even email completed profile on a file. Write us an email requesting the file.  After your profile is created, you will be emailed/mailed Profile ID and Password for your future profile edit/modification purpose.

  18. I am trying to modify my profile and I cant remember my password.  What shall I do ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Provide your Profile ID  and Mothers Maiden Name to SangamAmerica by email:support@sangamamerica.com Password will be emailed/mailed back to you. (use the same email address from your Profile)

  19. What are the requirements for Profile ID and Password while creating a profile ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Profile ID has to be less than or equal to 10 characters.  Password has to be 8 characters.  Profile ID and Password cannot be changed after successful creation.

  20. What Information fields are available in a SangamAmerica Profile ?     [Top]     [Back]
    SangamAmerica Profile has 44 available fields of which few of them are mandatory.  Blank or Not Selected fields are not displayed when profile is viewed.

    It wont be displayed in a profile when viewed.

  22. Can I initially create a  partial/incomplete profile and complete it later at some other time?     [Top]     [Back]
    As long as minimum required fields are filled, one can edit/modify his/her profile for unlimited time within the profile life.  If only Profile ID is created (and no profile information added) then one can fill out Profile Information later by opening it through Modify Profile section.

  23. Where can I find Profile samples ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Profile examples can be the actual profiles listed on SangamAmerica.  Click any HighLine to view a profile or click here to view our sample profile.

  24. After filling out profile on paper or MS Word file, where shall I mail/email it ?     [Top]     [Back]

  25. How soon can my advt be featured on main page after I submit profile ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Promotion is done when next slot is available.  First come First serve policy.

  26. If my profile is not featured where would it be ?     [Top]     [Back]
    Assuming that the payment has been made and Profile has not expired, it resides on the SangamAmerica Website.  It is available for Browsing/Searching/QuickSearching.  Promotion is only for a month. 

  27. I created Profile ID but did not submit profile details.  Can I add profile details later ? How ?   [Top]     [Back]
    If Profile ID is created and the Profile Information was not submitted then there is no need to create a new Profile ID next time you visit SangamAmerica.  The Profile ID after successful creation gets registered and so in order to fill out Profile Information, one will have to go through 'Modify Profile' section.  Profile information can be edited or changed under 'Modify Profile' section.  Profile modifications is allowed unlimited times during profile residence.

  30. How soon is Payment due ?   [Top]     [Back]
    Payment is due immediately after Profile is created on SangamAmerica.  Failure to submit payment within short time will result in immediate termination of Profile information without any notification.

  31. What are Search Fields ? Why is it important to fill out Search Fields ?   [Top]     [Back]
    Search Fields are most important fields.  By providing information in the Search Fields one's profile would have higher chances of being listed when search or browse action is conducted.  Height, Religion, Immigration Status, Caste, Contact Country (residence) etc are Search fields.  These fields are comprehensively used in Browse, Search, QuickSearch pages. Example 1:  If applicant fills out Immigration Status ("US-Citizen or US-Greencard"), than the profile will be listed when a reader clicks Males/Females with US Greencard/ US Citizenship.  Example 2: Age = 25,  this profile will be listed when under QuickSearch age value is searched.  Applicants are encouraged to fill Search Fields.

    Go to QuickSearch section and search by Profile ID. Or use Search Xpress on Main Page to find a profile by email id or profile id.

  34. I forgot my Profile ID, how can I find my profile ?  [Top]     [Back]
    Go to QuickSearch section and search by Email Address.  If you remember your Highline, you can also locate your profile by Browsing lists in Browse/Search section.  QuickSearch by Email Address will be the fastest way to locate your profile.  Or use Search Xpress on Main Page to find a profile by email id or profile id.
